Tonight, while chopping some vegetables for dinner, a strong joy washed over me. I realized that I really ENJOY chopping vegetables. I mocked myself for being so excited about something so mundane. Not only do I enjoy chopping vegetables, but I also kind of like going to the post office, vacuuming isn't abhorent, and making the bed gives me much satisfaction. Re-organizing shelves is something that I look forward to (although you may not know it by looking at some of my shelves), I'll always be the first one to volunteer for weed pulling duty, and mowing the yard isn't a chore I mind being stuck with.
Are there mundane things in life that give you secret joy?
