Day 2

(This is a day late because the internet was not cooperating last night. Rural internet options = not fun!)

Day 2; a day with good intentions. We set out for renting a bike to ride along the canal downtown. Due to the heat, they opted not to open the bike rental place without warning or even as much as a sign. I just happened to run into the park director who tried to call the bike rental manager who was not answering his phone. Not cool. Then it got HOT, the kids got cranky, and even my "Tour de the Fountains of the Canal" didn't really amuse them because it involved a lot of walking, in the heat.


But we managed a bit of fun...

...and finished off the tour with lunch with Pat at a well air-conditioned restaurant along the canal.
